This page explains what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
Who is responsible
This website is operated by Eden Club Gran Canaria, Centro Comercial Nilo, Playa del Inglés, Gran Canaria.
For anything on this page, including a request to see or delete your data, write to admin@edenswingersclub.com.
If you use the contact form
The form on the contact page is the only place this site asks you for anything. When you send a message we record:
- your name, as you typed it
- your email address
- the subject and the message
- the date and time
- the IP address the message came from, and your browser's user agent
The name, email and message are there so we can read your enquiry and reply. The IP address and user agent are there for one narrow reason: the form has no CAPTCHA, deliberately, and it blocks spam by limiting how many messages one address can send. That does not work without recording the address.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about the club and in keeping the form usable rather than drowned in spam.
Your message is emailed to us and also written to a file on our own server as a backup, in case the email fails. That file copy is deleted after 90 days. The email itself stays in our mailbox until we delete it, which we do when the enquiry is finished with.
We do not add you to any mailing list, we do not send marketing, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone.
Cookies: this site does not use any
There are no cookies on this website. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything. That is also why you have not been shown a cookie banner, rather than us simply not bothering with one.
Until 9 August 2026 this site used Google Analytics, which did set cookies. It has been removed.
How we count visits
We do count visits, using analytics software that runs on our own server. It records the page you looked at, the website or search engine that sent you, your country, and the general type of device and browser you used. That is the whole list.
It stores nothing on your device, it does not follow you between websites, and none of it is sent to anyone else. We use it to know which pages are worth keeping and whether people are finding us on a phone. It cannot tell us who you are.
The map
The Find us page can show a map from Google Maps, but it does not load until you click it. Until you do, Google is not contacted at all. If you would rather not, the address, the coordinates and the what3words reference are printed on that page as text, and both link out to a map only if you choose to follow them.
Who else sees anything
One company: Zoho carries our email, so a message you send through the contact form passes through them on the way to us.
That is the entire list. There is no advertising on this site, no tracking pixel, no social media button, and no third-party fonts or scripts. Everything else you load here comes from our own server.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to admin@edenswingersclub.com and we will deal with it.
Realistically, unless you have used the contact form we hold nothing that identifies you, so there is usually nothing to send.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), at https://www.aepd.es.
Age
This is an adult venue and this website is intended for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
